5 Gorgeous Brown Drugstore Lip Combos for Fair Skin to Medium Skin (2025)

I’ve got a lot of drugstore lip combos to share with you that I’ve been working on, and today, we’re starting with light and warm brown lipgloss and lip liner combos for fair skin to medium skin.

As I have a fair olive skin tone (NW15 in MAC foundation), these five lip combos are some I would probably never wear if I didn’t pack bronzer on.

From Barry M to NYX, and from Kiko Milano to Wet n Wild, you’ll find here a couple of new really cool – and really cheap drugstore lip combos for warm skin.

These are some of my favorite products I’m going to be showing you, products I use on myself, lipglosses and nude lip liners I’ve used more than once on photoshoots, and overall longlasting and easy to apply!

5 Gorgeous Brown Drugstore Lip Combos for Fair Skin to Medium Skin

At the end of this guide slash review, I’ve swatched all the drugstore lip combos together with the names of matching products so you can compare them better.

If you’re ever looking for really good transparent lipglosses, I have a few favorites, but I’ll be showing only one today, the Juvia’s Place It’s Glass lipgloss.

The It’s Glass lipgloss is one of my makeup staples – a clear gloss is such a versatile product!

I’ll be focusing on more pink drugstore lip combos really soon too, so if you have pale to fair skin, you literally have plenty of options.

Anyhoo – let’s get started with the brown lip liner swatches first, and then move on to those gorgeous lip combos!

Drugstore Brown Lip Liners for Fair Skin to Medium Skin Swatches

The five drugstore lip liners I’ve used in for these combos are:

• Barry M Tan lip liner
• NYX Suede Matte Soft Spoken lip liner
• Barry M Russet lip liner
• Wet n Wild Coloricon Willow lip liner
• Kiko Smart Fusion 532 lip liner (I have the former number, #32)

I’ve imagined these drugstore lip combos with a mainly warm undertone, therefore, all the lip liners have at least a slightly brownish color.

The only lip liner pinker than the others is the NYX Soft Spoken lip liner.

Soft Spoken oscillates between pink and brown, but which I thought still useful to include as it’s a beautiful everyday shade whether you have fair skin or tan skin.

The Barry M Tan lip liner is a strongly reddish brown lip liner, which could be a MAC Auburn dupe – not an exact dupe, but still good as it retails for about a quarter of the MAC lip liners’ price.

NYX Soft Spoken is a pinkish brown lip liner with a touch of peach inside, very slightly warm and the one that would be easier to use for olive skin tones.

The Barry M Russet lip liner is a dupe for MAC Spice, dry enough that it stays in plays all day, and soft enough that the line is precise when you use it to overline your lips.

The Barry M lip liners, if I may, are some of the best drugstore lip liners I’ve ever used, and I own the full collection except for the coral lip liner, which is a shade that hardly works on me in its pure form.

The Wet n Wild Willow lip liner is another dupe for MAC Spice, although a tiny bit lighter, and perfect for light to medium skin who would like to wear a really nude lipstick along with it.

Finally, the Kiko Smart Fusion lip liner in 532 is a beautiful, light and warm brown shade you can easily use with lipsticks like the MAC Honeylove lipstick.

Nude Drugstore Lip Combos Lip Liner/Lipgloss: Barry M Tan Lip Liner + NYX Butter Gloss Madeleine

The first one of the drugstore lip combos with gloss I’ll show you today mixes:

• Barry M Tan lip liner
• NYX Butter Gloss Madeleine

This is a lipgloss and lip liner combo I’ve imagined for tan skin and medium skin, although fair skin with warm undertones can definitely use it by blending out the edges even more carefully so the red doesn’t pop too much.

You would go with some peachy brown blush for this one, or even use the Tan lip liner as a blush with a very light hand.

On the eyes, you could go with some type coppery red eyeshadow, or go with a simple wing of black eyeliner.

I would take things further with medium skin, with maybe a wing of graphic blue eyeliner, to have a bigger contrast and almost an editorial look.

Drugstore Lip Combos with Lipgloss: NYX Suede Matte Soft Spoken + NYX Butter Gloss Spiked Toffee

You’ll find many different MAC lip liner dupes from NYX, whether you choose the Suede Matte range or the Slim Lip Pencils.

From the Suede Matte range, the NYX Soft Spoken lip liner is one of the brown shades that strongly verges towards mauve-ish pink, and perfect for pale to fair skin.

By combining the NYX Butter Gloss in Spiked Toffee, one of my favorite Butter Gloss shades, with soft spoken, you make the overall result lighter and warmer at the same time.

Since Spiked Toffee is slightly darker than Soft Spoken, what I would do is:

• Apply the Soft Spoken lip liner all over the lips and Spiked Toffee on top
• Or apply Soft Spoken on the outlines of the lips and a tiny teeny bit of the Spiked Toffee lipgloss

Really pretty, and something that can be worn with burnt orange eyeshadow for a natural-but-not-too-natural look, or with some gorgeous dark olive eyeshadow.

Nude Drugstore Lip Combos Lip Liner/Lipgloss: Barry M Russet Lip Liner + Kiko 3D Hydra 20

The Barry M Russet lip liner is, as I said at the beginning of this post, one of the closest MAC lip liner dupes for Spice, and one that only retails for a handful of pounds.

Barry M is an English brand you can find in some of London’s best makeup stores, namely Superdrug and Boots, as well as online around the world, and all their products are worth it.

The peachy undertone of Barry M Russet with the peachy brown Kiko 3D Hydra lipgloss 20 match very well, and that’s yet another amazing combo for skin with warm undertones.

If you have neutral or olive skin, that’s a combo you can wear with some bronzer, and it’s very easy to wear on a daily basis.

The Kiko 3D Hydra lipgloss range is a favorite of mine, and from mauve to purple and light pink lipglosses, it just has it all – and non-sticky, of course.

On the eyes, you can go for your usual warm brown eyeshadow look for this one or some brown eyeliner.

Of course, I didn’t blend out the lip liners for this post, so I could show you the real difference between the colors, but once you blend out the Russet lip liner properly, you have a more nude lip look.

That’s where you can go strong on the eyes, with burgundy purple eyeshadow as a smokey eye, or a thick line of really metallic eyeliner.

The lips will be so nude that what I would do is use an Epic Wear eye pencil, one of the best NYX products ever created, since they have many bright, dark and metallic colors that would pair well with this lip combo.

Drugstore Lip Combos: Wet n Wild Coloricon Lip Liner Willow + Flormar Dewy Lip Glaze Light Beige

The Wet n Wild Megalast Matte lipsticks being some of the first drugstore lipsticks I ever used, I will be writing about a couple of combos from a brand in a bit.

Since they’re some of the cheapest around, and there are lip liners in the brand, why not create a few Wet n Wild lip combos if you’re looking to treat yourself without splurging?

But for now, we’re going to be using the Wet n Wild Willow lip liner from the Coloricon range, and couple it with a way-too-underrated product, the Flormar Dewy Lip Glaze in Light Beige.

Flormar is a great Turkish makeup brand, one I love just as much as I love Golden Rose, super cheap and widely available around the world.

Whether you’re visiting a makeup shop in Istanbul or Barcelona, you will find Flormar, and where you can’t find it, it’s going to be available online.

I’ve already created a couple of Flormar Dewy Lip Glaze lip combos a while back if you’d like to see more products from the brand, and the Light Beige shade is the only sparkly one we have in this guide.

Out of all the drugstore lip combos I’m talking about today, this one is my favorite because Willow goes very well on fair skin with warm undertones, and because the Flormar Light Beige lipgloss is flexible.

It’s lost somewhere between beige, gold and pink, with flecks that catch the light and slightly change color to draw attention to the lips, non sticky, and overall a game-changer.

Nude Drugstore Lip Combos Lip Liner/Lipgloss: Kiko Smart Fusion Lip Liner 32 (532) + Juvia’s Place It’s Glass Lipgloss

Lastly, we’ll be matching the Kiko Smart Fusion lip liner in 532, a light and warm brown lip liner with the Juvia’s Place It’s Glass lipgloss.

When it comes to non sticky lipgloss, I’m always on the lookout for new shades, and one thing I know for sure is that It’s Glass is one of the best Juvia’s Place products ever created.

Just a transparent lipgloss, but with the same thick application as the Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb range, cheaper, comfortable, non sticky, and obviously perfect to wear with any lip liner color.

I mean, once you have a clear lipgloss, you have such a versatile product that turns any lip liner into a shiny lipstick, hydrates the lips, and stays on almost faultlessly!

In terms of drugstore lip combos, it might not feel life-changing to use clear gloss with a brown lip liner, but it’s that touch of 90s I’m craving just about all the time.

Only, I would rather use the Whirl lip liner. Cool undertones and whatnot, you know.
